Dr. Theodore J. Graziano, who practiced medicine locally for more than 40 years, died of cancer Saturday at Stella Maris Hospice.
A mass of Christian burial is to be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Roman Catholic Immaculate Conception Church, Baltimore and Ware avenues in Towson.
Dr. Graziano, 77, a Baltimore native and graduate of Forest Park High School, lived much of his adult life in Towson.
He attended Johns Hopkins University, where he was captain of the football and track teams and listed in "Who's Who in American Universities."
After graduating from the University of Maryland medical school in 1941, Dr. Graziano served his internship at Union Memorial, South Baltimore General (now known as Harbor Hospital Center) and Mercy hospitals.
He was president of the medical staff at the old Doctors Hospital.
Dr. Graziano belonged to the U.S. and state medical associations, the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians and the Johns Hopkins Club.
After retiring in 1981, he was director of the Royal Oak Savings and Loan Association for eight years.
Dr. Graziano is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Lauretta Tregoe; two daughters, Theo McCaffray of Baltimore and Katy Martin of Severna Park; a son, Michael Graziano of Richmond, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
