Michael R. Limsky of Ellicott City has been named a partner in the Owings Mills law firm of Summerfield, Willen, Silverberg & Nesson.
Limsky, who will specialize in the areas of corporate, tax, estate and bankruptcy law, has been with the firm since 1987.
HAMMERMAN HIRES BUCK
John Buck was recently hired as director of marketing and consulting services for Hammerman Associates, a Columbia-based microcomputertraining and consulting firm. Buck will develop regional marketing opportunities.
Prior to his appointment with HAI, Buck was employedby IOCS, a Boston-based government contractor. He has experience with automation, computer instruction and LAN interfacing.
FIVE LEADERS JOIN FIRN
Five community leaders have joined the Foreign-Born Information and Referral Network (FIRN) board of directors.

ELY TO LEAD CAMPAIGN
Ed Ely of the Rouse Co. will be leading the Howard County YMCA "Good Kids" Annual Support Campaign, which has set a goal of $35,000.
Contributions are used to offer financial assistance to youth and families for YMCA programs and membership.
Bob Smith of KLNBwill chair the major gifts division, which solicits gifts of $250 ormore.
LAW FIRM NAMES O'KEEFFE
The law firm of Levan, Schimel, Belman & Abramson of Columbia has named Carol B. O'Keeffe as a principalof the firm.
O'Keeffe graduated cum laude from California State University of Fresno in 1970 and from the University of Georgia Schoolof Law in 1978. She was senior assistant county solicitor for HowardCounty from 1980-1987.
