Man Is Accused Of Sexual Abuse

A Bel Air man was indicted last week on four counts of sexually molesting a friend's 10-year-old daughter two years ago.

A county grand jury Tuesday indicted Kevin A. Raber, 29, of the 1800 block of Glendale Lane, on charges of second-degree rape of a child, second- and third-degree sex offenses against a child and sodomy.

Raber was arrested Nov. 7 after a 12-year-old Bel Air girl told her parents Oct. 26 about the alleged abuse.

The incidents occurredbetween January and March 1989 at the girl's home, according to District Court documents.

Raber frequently spent weekends at the family's home, charging documents filed by state police said.

The girl was abused after her parents went to sleep, police charged.

Raber was released on $50,000 bond Nov. 7. No trial date has been set.

PERRYMAN TEEN SHOT IN THE CHEST

Police are seeking a suspect in the shooting of a Perryman teen last weekend.

The incident occurred Nov.23 in the Perrywood Gardens apartment complex.

John DeBow, 16, ofthe 200 block of Perrywood Court, was talking to several people in front of his home about 10 p.m. when he was shot in the chest by a manwith a small-caliber handgun, the county Sheriff's Office said.

DeBow was flown by helicopter to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was listed in satisfactory condition Friday.

Police describe the suspect as a black man about 18 years old, 6-feet to 6-feet 3-inches tall, and weighing 155 pounds. At the time of the shooting, the suspect was wearing a red Chicago Bulls jacket, blue jeans and a dark shirt.

1400 block of Calvary Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone broke into a residence and stole jewelry Nov. 14. Total loss: $1,000.

Belcamp

1300 block of Liriope Court: Sheriff's Office reported the theft of a paycheck from a car Nov. 21. Total loss: $753.36.

1200 block of Brass Mill: Sheriff's Office reported malicious destruction to five trees at Bata Land Co. Nov. 16. Total loss: $500.

Churchville

3000 block of Churchville Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone stole a trunk lid, speakers and tail light covers froma car at LDB Auto Sales Nov. 19. Total loss: $600.

3200 block of Whitefield Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone broke into a home and stole jewelry Nov. 18. Total loss: $350.

Edgewood

2300 block of Perry Avenue: Sheriff's Office reported malicious destruction toa car Nov. 17. Total loss: $500.

300 block of Wilson Street: Police reported the theft of a stereo and equalizer Nov. 22. Total loss: $500.

100 block of PuseyStreet: Havre de Grace police reported that someone shot the windshield of a truck with a BB gun Nov. 23. Total damage: $250.

1000 block of Chesapeake Drive: Havre de Grace police reported a hitch-hiker stole a travel bag containing cash and documents from a man who gave him a ride. Total loss: $150.

700 block of Chesapeake Drive: Havrede Grace police reported the theft of an 18-speed Huffy mountain bike and a 10-speed Schwinn from a garage Nov. 21. Total loss: $330.

700 block of Green Street: Havre de Grace police reported that some one stole a green and blue bicycle from a back yard Nov. 19. Total loss: $100.

800 block of Ostego Street: Havre de Grace Police reported that someone threw a rock through the window of Penny Lane Florist Nov. 15. Total loss: $600.

Joppa

1600 block of Singer Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone broke into a garage and stole tools and an engine analysis scope Nov. 19. Total loss: $7,550.

1900 blockof Mountain Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone broke into a home and stole a rifle, jewelry and checks. Total loss: $375.30.

Pylesville

200 block of Pylesville Road: Sheriff's Office reported someone shot out windows at North Harford High School Nov. 18. Total loss: $225.

Street

3200 block of Sandy Hook Road: Sheriff's Officereported someone broke into a home and stole tools and gasoline. Total loss: $280.
