Pre-dawn collision kills Harford woman

A 37-year-old Harford County woman was killed today when she drove into the path of oncoming traffic in a pre-dawn crash on the Jarrettsville Pike near Madonna.

nTC State Police identified the woman as Natalie White Warczynski, of the 4400 block of Madonna Road. She was pronounced dead after being flown to the Shock-Trauma Unit in Baltimore.

Investigators said Warczynski was westbound on Schuster Road just west of Jarrettsville when she came to a stop sign at Jarrettsville Pike.

After stopping, police said, Warczynski pulled out into the intersection to make a left-hand turn. As she did, her car was struck on the driver's side by a northbound car driven

by Robert Otto, 25, of 3200 block of Paper Mill Road in Phoenix.

Otto was listed in stable condition at the Fallston General Hospital emergency room. Hospital officials said they had not decided whether to admit him.

Police said they had filed no charges against Otto.

Traffic was shut down on Jarrettsville Pike for more than an hour while police investigated the accident and removed the vehicles and debris.

Warczynski was the 637th person to die in traffic accidents this ++ year in Maryland, compared with 662 at this time last year, police said.
