Loyola Marymount rips Morgan, 140-110

LOS ANGELES HC — LOS ANGELES -- Terrell Lowery sparked a 15-point scoring run in the opening minutes of the second half that broke open a one-point game and led Loyola Marymount (1-0) over visiting Morgan State (0-1), 140-110, last night in the first round of the L.A. Classic.

Morgan took a, 66-65, lead 30 seconds into the second half on two free throws by Charles Feagin, but Lowery, who finished with a game-high 30 points, scored 11 in a 15-0 run that gave Loyola Marymount an, 80-66, advantage with 16:58 left.

Feagin led the Bears with 24 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

Loyola Marymount will face the winner of the Washington State-Central Connecticut game today for the tournament championship.
