Golden State Warriors -- Signed G Tim Hardaway (23.5 ppg, 9.4 apg, 2.1 spg) to a 3-year contract extension through 1995-96.

Miami Heat -- Announced that G Jon Sundvold underwent successful surgery for a herniated cervical disk and was placed on the injured list. He could be sidelined for several months. Signed G John Morton (3.5 ppg with the Cleveland Cavaliers).

New York Knicks -- Extended the contracts of C Patrick Ewing (reportedly $33 million over 6 years) and F Charles Oakley ($10 million over 5 years).

New York Islanders -- Announced signing of 4 players who were in their option years to multi-year deals: LW Derek King (13 goals, 9 assists), D Joe Reekie (team-best plus-17 ratio), D Ken Baumgartner (team-high 96 PIM) and G Mark Fitzpatrick (2-0-1, 2.27 GAA in AHL).
