Virginia M. Mann

Virginia M. Mann, 87, a retired assistant registrar for the University of Maryland at Baltimore, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. tomorrow at the Mitchell-Wiedefeld funeral establishment, 6500 York Road. Burial will be in Lorraine Park Cemetery.

A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Mann was a resident of Stoneleigh. She was a summa cum laude graduate of Vassar College in New York and came to Baltimore nearly 60 years ago.

She began working at the University of Maryland to help out a friend. The job, which was to last two weeks, became a 27-year career.

Survivors include a daughter, Miriam Mason of Cross Keys, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. David's Episcopal Church, 4700 Roland Ave.
