Power line injures BG&E employee

A Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. employee was seriously burned yesterday when he touched an above-ground power line in Columbia.

Charles Dobry, 28, was injured at Mills and Columbia roads about 9:45 a.m., Howard County police said. He was taken to the Francis Scott Key Medical Center burn unit by medevac helicopter, suffering from second- and third-degree burns to his arms, face and chest, according to police.

He was listed in fair condition last night.
