Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of Queensberry Ave. reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and stole two TVs and two VCRs. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known and that entry was gained by breaking out a pane of glass in the front door.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Police said someone broke into a house in the 4000 block of Park Heights Ave. yesterday by forcing open a back door and stole a 27-inch TV and a 19-inch TV. Police said the value of the property was not known.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- The resident of a house in the 3800 block of Beehler Ave. reported property valued at $20,000 was stolen from her home after someone entered through a rear window. The victim told police the intruder escaped with two leather outfits and a fur coat.

THEFT/SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a man yesterday in connection with the shooting of another man after the victim reportedly stole money and jewelry from a safe. Police said that following a domestic situation with a female resident of the 1700 block of Homestead St., Kenneth Franklin, 21, of the same address, allegedly entered the woman's bedroom and removed a safe. Police said Franklin took the safe outside and forced it open, removing cash and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,100. Later, Robert Brown, 18, also a resident of the house, allegedly confronted Franklin with a shotgun and chased him through the house. Police said after Franklin entered a second-floor room and closed the door, the gunman fired three blasts. Police said pellets penetrated the door and struck Franklin in his legs. Franklin was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated and released. Later, Brown was charged with assault by shooting Franklin and was being held at the Eastern District pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner. Police said Franklin was to be charged with theft.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Round Top Road reported that someone broke into her home yesterday through a rear window and stole a VCR and a coat. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,800.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Curtis Kennedy, of the 1900 block of E. 32nd St., reported that someone broke into his truck that was parked in front of his home yesterday and stole tools valued at $300.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking a 16-year-old boy in connection with the assault yesterday morning of a girl as she walked to her school in the 2500 block of Harford Road. Police said the victim, a 17-year-old resident of the 4900 block of Aberdeen Ave., was on her way to classes at the Head Start Center at 2555 Harford Road when she became involved in an argument with the suspect. Police said that during the argument, the girl was struck in the face and suffered a broken nose. Police said the suspect fled and that the victim was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered a house in the 1500 block of Abbotston St. yesterday and stole a 26-inch TV from a second-floor bedroom. Police said the TV was valued at $600.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said a couple was arrested yesterday and charged with entering the Farm Fresh store in the 2400 block of Belair Road and stealing more than $300 worth of seafood. Police said the 22-year-old male suspect was being held at the Eastern District pending charges and that his 21-year-old companion was being held at the women's detention center at the Central District.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Choung Hung Vu, 30, of the 8300 block of Berkfield Road in eastern Baltimore County, reported he was withdrawing money from an automatic teller machine in the 3400 block of Belair Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who demanded money. Police said the gunman escaped with $400 and the victim's bank card.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into E-Z Convenience, a store in the 5800 block of Hillen Road, and stole 30 cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $400. Police said entry was gained by throwing a rock through the front door window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Louis Ford, of the 1600 block of Winford Road, reported that while his 1990 Nissan was parked near his home over the weekend, someone broke into the vehicle and stole keys, credit cards and several pieces of clothing. Police said the property was valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Crestview Road reported that someone forcibly entered his home yesterday and stole clothing, tools, stereo equipment, a TV and cassette tapes. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,300 and that entry was gained by breaking out a pane of glass in a basement door.
