Middle Atlantic Conference Southwest Section Men's Outlooks

Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen

November 17, 1991

Coach: Pat Flannery, third year

Assistant coaches: Don Friday

Last year's record: 15-12 overall, 4-8 in the Middle Atlantic Conference-Southwest Div.

Top returnees: Juniors -- guard/forward Reggie Hall, guards Rich Tinucci and Mike Yordy; sophomores -- guard/forward John Harper, forwards Dan Hartzman and Bobby Thompson, centers Mike Morrison and Scott Stephenson, guards Steve Zalbor and Eric Mushrush, center/forward Mark Wooten

Top newcomers: Freshmen -- guard/forward Jamye Wooten, guards Mike Rhoades and Mark Calhoun

Coach's comments: "We're going to be very young with only one kid who has played two years of varsity ball. We have a lot of young talent -- it's just a matter of how quick we can come together."

The Carroll County Sun's outlook: The Flying Dutchmen are another team in the conference that are young and could improve as the season goes on. They willfield a team without a senior on the roster but have a solid crop offreshman. Freshman guard Mike Rhoads has looked promising and could contribute immediately. A pair of returning juniors -- point guard Rich Tinucci and forward/guard Reggie Hall -- must provide much-needed leadership along with Mark Wooten. A tough early schedule will tell alot and could make or break the season. On paper, it appears the young Dutchmen are a year or two away. But when the time comes -- they could fly high.
