K mart signs for Harford Co. location

The Cordish Co. announced that K mart Corp. has signed a lease to construct a 107,000-square-foot store in Cordish's Joppatowne Plaza on U.S. 40 in Harford County.

The store design will be a K mart prototype new to the Baltimore area.

Cordish recently purchased Joppatowne Plaza and plans to rehabilitate the existing stores, parking areas and landscaping while the K

mart is under construction.

Some of the existing retail space will be demolished to make room for the new anchor tenant.

Cordish sayid that it is finalizing leases with an Italian restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a deli, a hardware store and several apparel shops.
