This is a weekly summary of selected prime contract recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Maryland contracts

Texcom Inc. in Lanham won a $16,871,477 contract from the Navy to provide engineering and logistics support services.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $9,353,157 contract from the Air Force for services to the Caribbean Basin Radar Network.

Mantech Technical Services Corp. in Lexington Park won a $6,332,659 contract from the Army for analyses and studies in support of the force warfare aircraft test directorate.

Arinc Research Corp. in Annapolis won a $2,445,264 contract from the Air Force to provide engineering services.

Hess Construction Co. in Takoma Park won a $1,989,000 contract from the Navy to provide a general purpose warehouse at the Marine Corps, Henderson Hall, Arlington, Va.

American Combustion Inc. in Brentwood won a $1,133,761 contract from the Army to construct boilers.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $191,802 contract from the Air Force to provide engineering services.

Ambu Inc. in Hanover won a $162,993 contract from the Defense Personnel Support Center to provide resuscitators.

Research contracts

EDI Integration Corp. in Linthicum won an $817,411 contract from the Navy for research and development.

Non-defense contracts

Crosspaths Management Systems Inc. in Chevy Chase won a $12,391,217 contract from the State

Department to process mail and handle services.

Cabot Cabot & Forbes in Baltimore won a $9,109,311 contract from the General Services Administration to lease real property.

Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore won a $5,390,070 contract from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to provide a coordinating center for a childhood asthma management program.

Elrich Group General Contractors Inc. in Forestville won a $1,117,777 contract from the U.S. Postal Service to renovate existing space for a TV and teletraining center at the Wm. F. Bolger Management Academy.

RAI in Jessup won a $600,000 contract from the GSA to provide a warehouse material handling for the General Service Administration distribution center in Springfield, Va.

Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group in Linthicum won a $392,779 contract from the U.S. Postal Service to provide remote computer readings.

Martin Marietta Corp. in Baltimore won an $84,505 contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to provide composites.
