VS. DETROIT RED WINGS

* WHEN: Tonight, 7:35.

* WHERE: Capital Centre.

-! * TV/RADIO: HTS; WCAO-AM 600.

VS. QUEBEC NORDIQUES

* WHEN: Sunday, 2:05.

* WHERE: Le Colisee.

* RADIO: WCAO-AM 600.

* OUTLOOK: The Capitals (11-3) are tied for the lead in the Patrick Division with the New York Rangers (11-6), but have three games in hand. The Red Wings (7-8-1) have gotten off to a very mediocre start but are keeping pace in the struggling Norris Division, just two points behind leader St. Louis. Quebec (3-9-1) is awful once again, but probably won't be the league's doormat thanks to the addition of expansion San Jose (1-15). Except for the continuing absence of defenseman Shawn Chambers (knee), the Caps are completely healthy. Montreal (13-3-1) is the only NHL team with a better record.
