The Federal Reserve Board has lowered the discount rate, the interest on loans the Fed makes to commercial banks. In theory, lowering it should set off a ripple of lower interest rates to consumers and stimulate the economy.

Do you think the Fed's move will boost the economy? If banks lower their consumer loan rates, would you feel encouraged to spend more?
