Gold Chains Taken From 2 Partygoers

Two Montgomery County residents were robbed of gold necklaces and numerous articles of clothing Sunday morning when two men accosted themat a party in Columbia, county police said.

The two victims, bothage 20, said they were heading to their car about 2 a.m. after attending a party in the 6100 block of Corina Court when a man ripped off one of their necklaces, police said.

Another man, wearing a stocking over his face, then approached and pointed a gun at the two victims, police said.

The men then tookthe second victim's gold chain. Also taken from the victims were a polo shirt, a pair of tennis shoes and a sweat shirt, police said.

GUNMAN TAKES $400 FROM A MAN AT ATM

A 32-year-old man was robbed of $400 Saturday when a gunman forced him to withdraw money from an automatic teller machine in Laurel, county police said.

The victim reported that he had just parked in front of the Maryland National Bank machine in the 9800 block of Washington Boulevard when he was approached by the gunman shortly before 5 p.m., police said.

After withdrawing the maximum amount of money that the machine allowed, the victimturned over the cash to the gunman, police said.

PIZZA HUT ROBBED BYMAN WITH GUN

A Pizza Hut restaurant was robbed Sunday in Columbiaby a man who pulled out a gun after ordering a pizza, county police said.

The man entered the restaurant, in the 9100 block of Route 108, shortly before 10:40 p.m. and

sat in one of the booths after ordering at pizza, police said.

A few minutes later, he approached the counter and pointed a gun at the clerk, police said. The employeehanded over cash from the register and the man then fled toward Bendix Road.

No one was injured.

POLICE SEEK RAPIST OF 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL

County police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who raped a 14-year-old girl in August, a police spokesman said.

A police artist has drawn a composite sketch of the suspect, believed to be between the age of 55 and 65. He has a stocky build and gray hair and is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, said Sgt. Gary L. Gardner.

The rape occurred Aug. 22 in North Laurel, when the victim was walking home alone from a friend's house at 12:30 a.m. The man got out of a car and attacked the girl in the 9700 block of Covered Wagon Drive.

The man struck the girl in the head, pushed her to the ground and raped her in a nearby wooded area, Gardner said.
