Danny's of Pasadena 55-and-over softball team recently won the gold medal in the Maryland Senior Olympics at Towson State University.
The champions drubbed Montgomery County, 28-4, in the finals as lead-off batter Bill Lovelace hit for the cycle with a single, double, triple and a home run.
Danny's finished the tournament, 7-0, outscoring the opposition, 119-23.
COLD TURKEY RUN DEC. 1
The Annapolis Striders Cold Turkey 20 K Run will be conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at South River High.
Registration on race day will run from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thecost is $4 for Striders and $5 for non-Striders. The race is limitedto the first 500 entrants.
Awards will be presented to the overall winner and the first two finishers in each age group for men and women. The 12.4-mile scenic course will travel over country roads in the southern part of the county on a monitored asphalt surface.

COUNTY RUNNERS DO WELL
Three countyharriers recently helped Catonsville Community College to a DivisionII championship and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA district championships in Bergen, N.J.
Meade graduate Ray Burleson finished 21st overall at Bergen Community College with a time of 28 minutes, 14 seconds. John Hecox, a 1989 graduate of Andover, came in 25th overall at 28:22, while Johann Allender of Old Mill finished 72nd in 31:39.
The Catonsville squad, coached by Meade's Jay Cuthbert, is now preparing for the nationals, which will be conducted later this month at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
