Bullets preview

November 05, 1991|By Milton Kent C

* WHEN: Tonight, 7:30 p.m.

* WHERE: Capital Centre.

* OUTLOOK: The Bullets are in first place in the Atlantic Division. No, your eyes aren't deceiving you. Off this weekend's improbable victories over Indiana and Boston, the Bullets share the top spot in the Atlantic Division with equally improbable Orlando, which beat the Sixers in Philadelphia Saturday night.

Philadelphia (0-2), like the Bullets, is without a proven center, as the 76ers await the return of free-agent acquisition Charles Shackleford and reserve Manute Bol from the injury list. Forward Charles Barkley remains a terror, but guard Hersey Hawkins, who made the All-Star team last year, is off to a slow shooting start.
