November 05, 1991

A nurse on her way to work was killed last night when her car was struck by another at an intersection in Cedonia, police said.

Officer Tony Petralia, of the traffic investigation section, said Selena Rose Davis, 42, of the 6000 block of St. Regis Road, was westbound on Hamilton Avenue about 10:46 p.m. when her car was struck on the driver's side by an auto headed north in the 5700 block of Cedonia Avenue.

Davis lost control of her car and crash into a chain-link fence, Petralia said. Her head struck the right interior support post, he said.

Davis died of massive head injuries at Francis Scott Key Medical Center about an hour later, Petralia said.

He said the other driver, Shaune Richardson, 29, of the 5700 block of Hazelwood Circle, was treated for minor injuries at Key.

Davis was a nurse at the Belair Convalesarium in the 6100 block of Belair Road, Petralia said.
