The annual Coats For Kids project is under way to help the needy children of Baltimore keep warm this winter.
Sponsored by WBAL Radio and the Dry Cleaners Association of Maryland, the program will accept used but usable children's coats. Those interested in participating should take their coats to a dry cleaner that displays a "Coats for Kids" poster in the window.
Dry cleaners are accepting coats now through Nov. 20. The cleaner will clean the coats and make any necessary repairs.
All coats collected will be distributed free to needy children through Baltimore City fire stations beginning Dec. 2. For more information call Laurie Fleishman at 338-6555.
