2 Gop Women Delegates


November 03, 1991|By ALA honors McMahon M. Jane McMahon of Street received the American Lung Association of Maryland's Distinguished Service Award for her tireless efforts in promoting the fight against lung disease. McMahon, chairwoman of the Health Science Department at Towson State University, is immediate past president of the ALAM.

Carol MacCubbin, of Forest Hill, and Olivia Haber, of Bel Air, were delegates to the National Federation of Republican Women's 26th Biennial Convention, which took place in October in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Both are members of the Harford County Republican Women's Club.

While attending the convention, MacCubbin and Haber listened to speeches by members of the cabinet and other GOP dignitaries; they participated in workshop providing training in fund-raising, leadership and public speaking, and took part in a "Women Candidate's Seminar."


Elena Skittle has been named director of rehabilitative services at Fallston General Hospital.

In this position,she manages the occupational, physical and speech therapy services.

Skittle received a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia and a master's degree in administration from Johns Hopkins University.

A registered and licensed occupational therapist, she previously worked as director of rehabilitative services at Gundry/Glass Hospital. She also was a senior therapistat Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Active in professional associations, she is a member of the American and Maryland Occupational Therapy Associations.


Pat Ritz and Karen Bands are the newest members of Alpha Delta Kappa, Chi Chapter, the International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators.

Ritz is a teacher at Bel Air Middle School, and Bands teaches at Magnolia Middle School.
