The fifth annual Naval Academy Admissions Information Day for high school students, parents, teachers and counselors is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in Mitscher Hall.

The program is geared toward freshmen, sophomores and juniors.

DESIGNER TO SPEAK

The Naval Academy's Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 19 in Mitscher Hall auditorium.

The guest speaker is Richard Salvaggio, an international flower designer. A contribution of $3 per person is appreciated.

WOZNIAK IN GERMANY

Air Force Airman Keith M. Wozniak, son of Joseph M. and Charlotte E. Wozniak of Linthicum, has arrived for duty at Spandahlem, Germany.

Wozniak is an apprentice security specialist.

HERNDON SENT TO CALIF.

Air Force Airman Derek M. Herndon, son of John F. Herndon of Pasadena, has arrived for duty at Beale AFB in Marysville, Calif.

A 1990 graduate of Northeast High, Herndon is an apprentice aircraft pneudraulic systems specialist.

DARLEY IN SOUTH KOREA

Army Pvt. Samantha L. Darley, daughter of GeorgeL. Darley of Glen Burnie and Nancy L. Darley of Baltimore, has arrived for duty at Camp Coiner, South Korea.

Darely is a 1986 graduateof Overlea Senior High.

BURNS AT CALIF. HQ

Marine Pfc. Karen T. Burns, daughter of Edward F. and Carlane M. Burns of Pasadena, has reported for duty with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, Calif.

Burns joined the Marine Corps last December.

SCHEER IN AUSTRALIA

Navy Seaman Apprentice Christine L. Scheer, daughter of Jerig Young of Severn, recently reported for duty at Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt, Exmouth, Australia.

Scheer joined the Navy in January.

HORWITZ HONORED

Navy Reservist Lt. Cmdr. Steve Horwitz of Linthicum was recently awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his service as commanding officer of a NavalReserve "combat camera" unit and was also promoted to the rank of commander.

Horowitz headed the Fleet Imaging Unit Atlantic 193 from October 1989 to September 1991. The unit is based at Naval Air Station Willow Grover in Pennsylvania.

He is a press officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington.

EYBS GRADUATES

Mary C. Eybs of Pasadena, a computer specialist with the Army Intelligence and Security Command at Fort Meade, has graduated from the Army Management Staff College.

DAVIS REPORTS IN VA.

Navy Lt. Cmdr. JoanneW. Davis, daughter of James E. Whitney of Annapolis, has reported for duty at the Naval Medical Clinic in Quantico, Va.

A 1975 graduate of Texas Christian University and a 1988 graduate of the Universityof Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Davis joined the Navy in June 1973.

SCHEER IN AUSTRALIA

Navy Seaman Apprentice Christine L.Scheer, a 1988 graduate of Meade Senior High, reported for duty at Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt in Exmouth, Australia.

Scheer joined the Navy in January 1991.

BOWERS IN CALIF.

Army Pvt. Kelly Bowers, son of Delores and William A. Watkins of Annapolis, hasarrived for duty at Fort Ord, Calif.

Bowers is a combat signaler.

SHOREY REPORTS

Navy Lt. j.g. Denise M. Shorey, daughter of MartinE. and Marie L. Shorey of Pasadena, recently reported for duty with Helicopter Support Squadron-Three at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego.

A 1985 graduate of Chesapeake Senior High, Shorey joined the Navy in July 1985.

WASMUS ENDS TRAINING

Marine Pvt. Ryan R. Wasmus, son of Ronald D. Wasmus and Jacquelin J. Lewis, both of Severna Park, recently completed training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C.

Wasmus is a 1991 graduate of Archbishop Spalding High.

BROWN IS ELECTRICIAN

Navy Airman Robert M. Brown, son of Ann and William A. Brown Sr. of Deale, has completed the Aviation Electrician's Mate Course at Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, Tenn.

A 1988 graduate of Southern Senior High, Brown joined the Navy in January 1989.

BUIE COMPLETE COURSE

Marine Pfc. Ronald Buie, son of B. Matthews of Severn, has completed the Motor Vehicle Operator Course at Marine Corps Service Support Schools, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

10 AT FORT JACKSON

Numerous county residents have recently completed basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

* Army Reserve Pvt. Steve A. Brooks Jr., son of Terry L. Tipton of Churchton.

* Army Reserve Pvt. Holly L. Brown, daughter of Robert E. and Una. L. Brown of Pasadena, is a 1990 graduate of Chesapeake High.

* Pvt. David A. Rollhauser, son of Charles M. Rollhauser of Severna Park.

* Army Reserve Pvt. Patricia M. Atkinson, daughter of Alice T. Atkinson of Severn and Charles N. Atkinson of New Haven, Conn., is a 1988 graduate of Wilbur-Cross High in New Haven.

* Army Reserve Pvt. LySandra Wise, daughter of Charles R. Allen of Annapolis and Sonja E. Wise of Baltimore, is a 1987 graduate of Annapolis Senior High.

* Army Reserve Pvt. Loressa R. Little, daughter of Valerie B. Little of Glen Burnie and granddaughter of Robert Little of Baltimore, is a 1990 graduate of Lake Clifton-Eastern High.
