It's much easier now to get your hands on a rack of ribs in Millersville. Construction of I-97 adjacent to Aloupis complicated access for a while.

I took home half a rack, fries and cole slaw ($10.25) the other night and was glad I hadn't ordered the large rack ($10.95 a la carte, $12.25 platter) or whole rack ($14.95, $15.95). Half a rack here is a meal.

If barbecued chicken is more to your taste, a whole chicken is $8.95, and the platter is $10.25. A half chicken is $4.95 and $6.25. The ribs and chicken combo goes for $9.95 and $11.25

Sandwiches? Barbecue beef, pork or chicken are $3.50 and $4.75. Other bar food includes steak, ham, sausage and meatball subs for $2.75 and cold cut, roast beef, tuna and hamburger subs -- 14-inchers -- are $5.25.

Just snacking? Chicken wings, cocktail meatballs, fries, onion rings, garlic bread, soup and salad start at $1.25.

This cozy bar and restaurant (and liquor mart) about 10 miles south of the beltway also has a nice Mediterranean touch on the menu. Lasagna is $6.95, Greek salad or gyros on pita bread with cucumber sauce are $4.25 each. Aloupis' pizza starts at $3.50, and baklava is $1.25.
