Baltimore City

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Martin Young, of the 2000 block of Belair Road, reported that while his 1987 Ford sedan was parked near his home between Monday and Tuesday, someone broke into the vehicle and stole a CB radio and a voltage meter. Police said the property was valued at nearly $400 and that entry was gained by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Belair Road reported that someone broke into her home by forcing the front door and stole stereo receiving and recording equipment, a VCR and a TV. Police said the property was valued at more than $600.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of the Garrett Lounge, in the 2500 block of Garrett Ave., told police that someone removed the cigarette vending machine from the bar. Police said two men reportedly entered the tavern and carried the machine outside, where they placed it on a vehicle and drove off. Police said the machine, property of a vending company, was valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 3400 block of Elmora Ave. after someone gained entry by breaking glass out of a kitchen door. Police said the burglar escaped with a VCR, stereo equipment and other property.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- James Kusterer, of the 5400 block of Todd Ave., reported he was withdrawing money from a 24-hour automated teller machine in the 4300 block of Frankford Ave. Tuesday evening when an armed man approached him from behind and ordered him to give up the money. Police said the gunman robbed Justerer of $200 and escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Joanne Gibson, of the 3600 block of Rexmere Road, told police she was robbed of her purse containing cash and other property Tuesday evening as she was getting out of a car near her home. Police said two men approached Gibson from behind around 6 p.m. and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the men fled with cash and property, all valued at about $20.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the Eastern District pending charges that he broke into a house in the 2800 block of Grindon Ave. Monday night and stole property valued at more than $2,000. Police said a neighbor of the victim whose house was broken into saw a man leaving the dwelling carrying a large plastic bag containing property. Later, police arrested a 32-year-old resident of the 600 block of Montpelier St. and recovered the property. Police said entry was gained through a rear window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Gus Van deCastle, of the 4200 block of Harford Road, told police that someone he knows entered his apartment and stole $700 worth of property. Police said Van deCastle was advised to seek a warrant for the person's arrest.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of Kildare Drive reported that someone broke into his garage after cutting a lock off a door and stole a moped. Police said the vehicle was valued at more than $800.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Geraldine Bell, of the 4400 block of Chalet Court, reported she was walking near her home Tuesday night when a man approached her from behind and placed a hard object in her back. Police said the man then grabbed the purse Bell was carrying and escaped on foot. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at less than $100.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 900 block of W. Franklin St. reported that someone broke into her home and stole a VCR and 25 movie tapes. Police said the property was valued at $400 and that entry was gained through a back door.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Kymberly Baker, of the 500 block of Arlington Ave., reported she was robbed of cash and property, all valued at nearly $190, while in the 1200 block of Harlem Ave. Police said Baker was walking along the street Tuesday night when she was assaulted by a man who robbed her.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Darnell Pender, of the 2500 block of W. Baltimore St., reported he was robbed of $150 yesterday. Pender told police he was in the first block of N. Franklintown Road around 10 a.m. when he was stopped by an armed man who ordered him to give up his money.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone stole three doors from a house under renovation in the 500 block of Arlington Ave. between Oct. 23 and Oct. 26. Police said someone broke into the dwelling and stole an aluminum storm door and two wooden doors. Police said the doors were valued at $600.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said someone broke into a house in the 1500 block of N. Mount St. and stole a gas range and a toilet. Police said entry was gained through a basement window and that the property was valued at nearly $200. Police said the break-in occurred between Tuesday and yesterday.
