Man found dead of stab wound in Hampden house

October 28, 1991

Baltimore homicide detectives were investigating the stabbing death last night of a man in a Hampden row house.

Police said the victim, whose name was not immediately divulged, was found dead -- stabbed in the stomach inside a home in the 3600 block of Roland Avenue.

The man, described only as in his 60s, was found dead by the owner of the house at 9:25 p.m. on the floor of a room the man had rented on the third floor.

Several residents of the house as well as the owner were being questioned at police headquarters, but Sgt. Edward Adelhardt of the homicide unit said the police had neither a suspect nor motive for the killing.

Neighbors said a man had gone into a nearby bar last night, asking for advice on what a person should do if he was involved in a homicide. Sergeant Adelhardt would not comment on that account.
