New Pastor In Aberdeen

The Rev. W. Duane Brown was installed as pastor of Grove Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen.

Brown comes to Aberdeen from West Middletown, Pa., where he was pastor of Grove Presbyterian Church for four years.

He received a bachelor of science degree from West Virginia StateCollege and master of divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary,where he was recognized by awards in biblical studies and evangelism.

Brown, 37, of Charlestown, W.Va., has served on the Music Ministries and Evangelism Committee of Washington Presbytery. He has distinguished himself by promoting growth in each church that he has served, and his major areas of emphasis include evangelism, Christian education, pastoral care, spiritual development and leadership.

Brown'swife, Jeanette, is Grove Church's choir director.

The Browns are parents to Sarah and Susan, and the entire family enjoys singing and playing various musical instruments.

Grove Presbyterian Church is at the corner of Old Post Road and East Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen.
