Marine Lance Cpl. James E. Combs, son of Drudy and Donald Sealing ofSykesville, recently reported for duty with Marine Air Control Group-28, 2nd Marine Aircraft, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C.

Combs, a 1989 Liberty High School graduate, joined the Marine Corps in September 1989.

Navy Airman Joel P. Traynham, son of Jocelyn and Warner Traynham of Columbia, recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation.

Traynham joined the Navy in December 1988.


Navy Seaman Recruit Jonathan M. Furr, son of Patricia and Robert Furr of Columbia, and Navy Seaman Recruit Shawn A.Smith recently completed training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla.

Furr, a 1990 Hammond High School graduate, and Smith, a 1991 Hammond High School graduate, both joined the Navy in June 1991


Air Force 2nd Lt. David F. Morrissey, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Morrissey of Ellicott City, received his pilot'ssilver wings upon graduation from Undergraduate Pilot Training Class91-14 at Williams Air Force Base, Ariz.

Following advanced training at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., he will be assigned to the 1402nd Military Airlift Squadron at Andrews Air Force Base.

Morrissey is a1985 Centennial High School graduate and a 1990 U.S. Air Force Academy graduate.


Navy Petty Officer 2nd ClassWilliam H. Schauman, son of Charlotte and William Schauman of Columbia, reported for duty with Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Four, Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md.

Schauman is a 1987 Oakland Mills High School graduate.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Melynn T. Kibby, anavionic systems technician, has arrived for duty at Eglin Air Force Base, Valparaiso, Fla.

Kibby is the daughter of Marlys and Bert Berschauer of Mount Airy.


Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher J. Manyette, son of Janet and Richard Manyette of Mount Airy, recently completed training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego.

Manyette is a 1991 graduate of South Carroll High School.


Airman Steven S. Swenson graduated from the communications-computer systems operations specialist course at Keesler AirForce Base, Biloxi, Miss.

Swenson is the son of Air Force Lt. Col. Hilmer Swenson of Columbia.
