Florida Marlins -- Named Cookie Rojas assistant to the GM and Richard Andersen VP of business operations.

Toronto Blue Jays -- Signed manager Cito Gaston to a 1-year contract.


Chicago Bulls -- Waived G Oliver Taylor and F Chris Munk.

New York Giants -- Signed K Raul Allegre.

New York Jets -- Announced the retirement of WR JoJo Townsell. Signed TE Corwin Anthony to the practice squad.
