Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported a cab driver was robbed Wednesday night on Northwood Drive after delivering a passenger there. Police said after the driver of a GI cab arrived at the location around 9 p.m., the passenger got out and then turned around. Police said the passenger pulled out a handgun and ordered the cabbie to give him his money. Police said the cabbie handed over less than $100 and that the gunman escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Sequoia Ave. reported that someone broke into her home early yesterday and ransacked several rooms. Police said it was not immediately known if any property was taken. Entry was gained through a back door.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- Police today were seeking a man who pointed a handgun at two women early yesterday on West Belvedere Avenue. The women, Barbara McLeod, of the 5800 block of Hamlin Ave., and Jeanine Woods, of the 5000 block of Palmer Ave., told police the man accosted them in the 3600 block of W. Belvedere Ave. around 1:30 a.m. and pointed a handgun at them for no apparent reason. Police said no injuries were reported.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that someone attempted to break into Bob's Carryout in the 4600 block of Reisterstown Road around 5 a.m. yesterday but were unable to force open a door. Two hours later, however, someone broke into the carryout through the front door and ransacked the interior. Police said it was not immediately known what, if any, property was stolen.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Seng Sim, of the first block of Crotona Court in Lutherville, Baltimore County, reported he was at the Fallstaff Shopping Center in the 6800 block of Reisterstown Road shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday when he was assaulted by a man who stole his keys and drove off in his Dodge van. Police said Seng hung onto the vehicle's door in an attempt to force the man to stop, and was dragged several feet before he fell to the pavement. Police said Seng was not injured.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that Wanda Saunders, of the 4500 block of Bonner Road, was walking near her home shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday when she was stopped by a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun who robbed her of cash and property, the value of which was not immediately known.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Irvin Pugatsky, of the 3600 block of Seven Mile Lane, told police he was near his home around 5 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a man who demanded his wallet. Police said when Pugatsky told the man he didn't have a wallet, the man struck him over the head with a handgun. Police said that before the gunman escaped, he shot Pugatsky in the leg. Police said Pugatsky was taken to a hospital for treatment.

THEFT: Western District -- Gary Randolph, of the 1700 block of Searles Road, reported that while his 1978 Ford truck was parked in the 1400 block of E. Cold Spring Lane yesterday, someone broke into the vehicle and stole a metal storage box containing several hand and power tools. Police said a hunting knife also was stolen and that the value of the property was nearly $700.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that Melvin Mack, of the 5000 block of Queensberry Ave., was in the 5000 block of Reisterstown Road yesterday when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who demanded his money and property. Police said Mack complied and that the gunman escaped with cash and personal items, all valued at $80.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Kevin Sherrod, of the 800 block of Wildwood Parkway, reported he was robbed of more than $200 by a man armed with a handgun who stopped him as he walked in the 2900 block of Edmondson Ave. around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police said several pieces of property were stolen from a dwelling in the 4600 block of Manordene Road by someone who entered by forcing the front door. Police said the value of the property was not immediately available.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 500 block of S. Bentalou St. told police her home was broken into between Wednesday and yesterday by someone who stole property valued at more than $400. Police said entry was gained by opening a side window.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Officials of the College Garden Apartments in the 4800 block of Parkton St. told police that someone broke into the basement of a building in the 4200 block of Eldone Road and stole a clothes dryer. Police said the appliance was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said property valued at more than $400 was stolen from a house in the 5500 block of Lothian Road between Wednesday and yesterday after someone entered through a bedroom window. Police said the intruder escaped with an AM-FM clock radio and several coins from a collection.
