Dickinson holds off Western Md., 28-25

CARLISLE, Pa. -- Despite 139 yards rushing and three touchdowns from senior tailback Eric Frees, Western Maryland (4-2, 3-1) lost to three-time defending champion Dickinson (5-0, 3-0), 28-25, yesterday in a Centennial Conference game.

Muhlenberg 14, Hopkins 8

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Steve McCullough threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns, as Muhlenberg (2-4, 2-3) downed Johns Hopkins (3-2-1, 2-2) in a Centennial conference game.

McCullough completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Steve Callahan in the second quarter, and hit Eric Slaton for a 30-yard score in the third period.

Wagner 38, Salisbury State 31

SALISBURY -- Terry O'Hare's 5-yard touchdown pass to Rob Walker with 21 seconds left lifted Wagner (4-2) over Salisbury State (1-5) yesterday at Sea Gull Stadium.

FROSTBURG -- Armand Rocco rushed for 63 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead Mercyhurst (4-2) over Frostburg State (4-2).

ELIZABETH, N.C. -- Elizabeth City State (5-1, 3-1) gained 204 yards rushing and Tim Johnson completed 10 of 18 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown (2-5, 1-5) in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association game.
