A 33-year-old Glen Burnie man was killed Thursday after he lost control of his car and hit two cars on Dorsey Road, police said.

According to the police report, Frederick Bracey of the 800 block of Brighton Place was driving east on Dorsey Road at about 5 p.m. when his car began to spin and crossed the center line.

His car hit a 1986 Ford Thunderbird driven by Sandra Kay Laurie, 49, of the 7800 block of Clark Road in Jessup. The car continued to spin and struck a 1989 Ford Aerostar minivan driven by Natalie Ann Skipper, 30, of the 3400 block of Old Crown Drive in Pasadena.

Braceywas pronounced dead at North Arundel Hospital, police said, and Skipper was treated and released from there.

Police had no informationon Laurie's condition.


A gunman robbed a Crofton dry cleaning store Thursday, police said.

Investigators said a man walked into Admiral Cleaners in the 1600 block of Crofton Center at about 7 p.m. and told the clerk to put all the money in a bag.

The clerk put more than $50 in the bag and the robber told her to go into a bathroom. When she came out, he was gone.

Police described the robber as a white man, about 40, with an earring and wearing a blue and white cap, jeans and a white shirt. He had a long ponytail.


A Glen Burnie woman was robbed of her purse and $15 Thursday morning as she was walking to her car outside her home.

Police said that at about 10 the woman was walking to her car in the 300 block of Gatewater Court when the robber walked up to her and said, "Excuse me." When she turned to face him, the man demanded her purse and hit her in the face.

He was last seen running toward Furnace Avenue, police said.

Police described the robber as a black man in his late 20s, wearing a tan windbreaker and jeans.
