Red Cross Elects Spry

Dr. Lehman W. Spry, of Havre de Grace, was re-elected to a third term as chairman of board of the American Red Cross, Northeastern District office.

Also reelected were John F. Haggerty and Sandra A. Hopkins, vice chairmen; Audrey Sweiger, secretary, and Donald H. Young, financial adviser.

The board of directors also approved for new directors for three-year terms -- Geoffrey R. Close, Robert N. Hockaday Jr., Jack E. McCracker, and Robert W. Mortis.


Dr. Dahlia Hirsch, anophthalmologist and director and of the Hirsch Eye Group, can be heard on WAMD radio (AM 97) in Aberdeen, as a featured guest on the "Doctors on Call" show.

The program, produced by the American Radio Network, airs nationwide from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.


The Harford County Public School Board of Education presented a certificate of recognition to John and Judy Davlin, ofHarford Community College, recognizing their contribution to the production of the video on discipline policies in the public schools.

The Davlins work as a team at HCC in the production of videos for on-campus and occasionally off-campus applications. John Davlin is the head of the mass communications department, and Judy Davlin works in the health and physical education department.
