Hereford ends losing streak Football

Dan Hall rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown, as Hereford rallied from a 14-point, third-quarter deficit for a 22-14 victory over Pikesville (3-4, 2-4) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A Division game yesterday.

The Bulls (1-6, 1-4) began the season with four consecutive shutout losses and had lost seven straight dating back to last season.

C.M. Wright 62, Bel Air 0

Vi Shum, Dan Gartrell and Greg Cooper each scored two touchdowns as No. 3 C.M. Wright (7-0, 6-0) routed visiting Bel Air (0-7, 0-6) in a Harford County League game. Jeff Hawk threw two touchdown passes and Mike Weichert kicked eight extra points.

Loyola 27, Lake Clifton 0

Brad Hoag rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries to lead No. 5 Loyola (4-1-1, 4-0) over host Lake Clifton (0-7, 0-6).

Patterson 27, Southern-B 0

John Sauer ran for two touchdowns, as No. 11 Patterson (5-1, 3-1) beat visiting Southern of Baltimore (4-2, 2-2) in an MSA B Conference game.

EVT 34, Franklin 12

Daryl Ray rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Eastern Vo-Tech (6-1, 5-1) over Franklin (2-5, 0-5) in a Baltimore County 4A-3A Division game.

Dunbar 34, Mervo 6

Paul Banks rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns and Yashida King threw three scoring passes as visiting Dunbar (1-3, 1-3) won its first game, defeating Mervo (1-5, 1-4) in an MSA B Conference game.

St. Mary's 36, Douglass 6

Adam Hrebiniak threw two touchdown passes to Keith Kretkowski and rushed for a score as St. Mary's (6-2, 4-1) ripped Douglass (1-5, 1-4) in an MSA C Conference game at Anne Arundel Community College.

St. Paul's 40, Curley 0

Ben Strutt rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, as host St. Paul's (6-1, 4-1) beat Archbishop Curley (0-7, 0-5) in an MSA C Conference game.

Loch Raven 31, Kenwood 16

Mike Brammer threw three touchdown passes to lead host Loch Raven (5-2, 4-2) over Kenwood (2-5, 1-5) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A Division game. Mike Chattin caught a 37-yard scoring pass from Brammer, kicked a 32-yard field goal and was 4-for-4 on extra points.

Milford Mill 33, Catonsville 0

Alvin Booze rushed for two touchdowns and Jerome Dennis threw for two scores as Milford Mill (4-3, 3-1) shut out visiting Catonsville (1-6, 1-5) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A Division game. Dennis was 8-for-12 for 166 yards, including touchdown passes to Donald Covington and Dennis Badham.

Towson 41, Owings Mills 12

Tim Burke completed nine of 11 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown to lead host Towson (6-1, 5-1) over Owings Mills (4-3, 2-2) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A Division game.

Patapsco 22, Sparrows Point 6

Patapsco (3-4, 3-3) scored on an interception return and off a fumble recovery en route to a victory over host Sparrows Point (0-7, 0-4) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A Division game.

Sparrows Point has lost 19 straight, the area's longest losing streak.

Dulaney 34, Lansdowne 18

Dan Boylan rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns as host Dulaney (2-5, 2-3) defeated Lansdowne (0-7, 0-5) in a Baltimore County 4A-3A Division game.

Northwestern 14, Walbrook 0

Bomani Murphy had 16 carries for 127 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown run, as Northwestern (3-2, 3-2) defeated visiting Walbrook (0-6, 0-4) in an MSA B Conference game. Darien Hebron threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Arnold Smith for Northwestern's other score.
