October 18, 1991|By Nestor Aparicio

* FIRST GAME: Tonight (7:35) at the Capital Centre.

* SECOND GAME: Tomorrow night (7:35) at Byrne Meadowlands Arena, East Rutherford, N.J.

* TV/RADIO: Tonight (HTS) and tomorrow (Ch. 20); both games are on WCAO-AM 600.

* OUTLOOK: The Capitals (4-1) are off to their best start in the history of the franchise, playing the best hockey in the NHL. Top goalie Don Beaupre is working his way back into shape after a month-long holdout and won't play this weekend. After tonight, the Caps will play five in a row on the road, touring much of the Smythe Division. The Devils (4-2) are also off to a fine start, and would have been tied with the Caps for the Patrick Division lead had they not lost to the N.Y. Rangers, 4-2, Wednesday night. Defensemen Scott Stevens returns to the Cap Centre in green and red.
