A new student council has been elected at Odenton Elementary.

MacArthur Middle School is collecting Giant Food register tapes for the Computers for Maryland Schools promotion. This activity runs until Feb. 29. Should the school meet its goal, the computers will be used by students for instructional purposes. The Imaginations Majorette and Drum Corps willsponsor a Turkey Shoot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at 980 Patuxent Road in Odenton. The rain date will be Nov. 17. Ammunition
will be supplied for $2.50 per shot for 12-gauge shotguns only. Refreshments will be available.

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a "Meet Your Chamber Night" from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23, at the Cambridge Commons Recreation Center, 2100 Blue Water Blvd. in Odenton.
This event, sponsored by the Halle Cos., will include a new-member briefing, small-business forum and business connection, providing the public an opportunity to meet new members, hear the latest chamber activities, participate in a small-business forum and promote business all in one evening.
