Benefit to feature heart-healthy recipes

Heartfest '91, an Oct. 25 benefit for the Henry Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease, will feature low-fat gourmet fare.

Linguine and mussels, smoked salmon and curried carrot soup are among the specialties from Baltimore-area restaurants that will be featured, along with entertainment and informational exhibits.

The event will take place at Baltimore Grand from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. The center, named for the late Hopkins lacrosse coach, specializes in research in many fields related to heart disease. Tickets to Heartfest are $55 each or $100 a pair. Reservations may be made by calling the center at 955-7376.
