If you want to understand more about play, there's a seminar, "Parent-Child Play and Pretending," on Oct. 25 at The Sheppard Pratt Conference Center.
It will explore play and its role in a child's development and the interaction of parents and child.
Marilyn Segal, a developmental psychologist and professor of early childhood development, will conduct the seminar from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The registration fee is $15. For more information, contact the sponsoring agency, Friends of the Family, at 659-7701.
