The Bel Air Counseling and Therapy Center, 2105 Laurel Bush Road, Suite 100, conducted an opening ceremony Oct. 15.

The center, which is being operated by Sheppard Pratt, a not-for-profit health system, offers mental health programs such as family and marriage counseling,treatment for mood and eating disorders, phobias and sexual dysfunction, trauma and abuse, stress disorders, and recovery programs for alcohol and drug abuse.

Atlantic Home Mortgage Corp. has committed $10 million in permanent mortgages to five county homebuilders.

The mortgage commitments for 30-year, fixed rate conventional loans will allow the builders to provide interest-rate protection for their buyers, according to Robert M. Connelly, president of the mortgage company.

Keystone Homes will use a $4 million commitment of funds for buyers of single-family and town homes in Abingdon, Constant Friendshipand Riverside. The homes start at $79,000.

Lynch Builders will apply a $3 million commitment to single-family homes priced from $150,000 in Forest Lake, a development near Bel Air.

Lynmar Homes' $2 million commitment will also be used for buyers of single-family homes starting at $150,000 in Forest Lake.

American Landmark Homes $1 million commitment is for town homes priced from $79,000 in Riverside.

Atlantic Home Mortgage Corp., a subsidiary of Atlantic Federal Savings Bank, operates loan offices in Towson, Columbia, Abingdon and Pasadena, Md., and in Neward, Del.

Atlantic Federal Savings Bank wasfounded in 1897 and currently operates 10 branches throughout Maryland.
