Outlook: The Capitals, still unbeaten and off to the best start in their 18-year history, won on the road Wednesday night (5-4 over the Maple Leafs). C Dale Hunter had 3 assists in the win over Toronto, giving him 7 in 3 games. LW Kelly Miller (involved in a contract dispute) played a regular shift for the Capitals, a little more than 24 hours after returning to the team Tuesday after missing the first 2 games of the season. The Rangers are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Islanders on Wednesday night. C Mark Messier, acquired by the Rangers from the Oilers on Friday, scored his first 2 goals for the Rangers in the win over the Islanders.
