Loyola to host tourney

October 10, 1991

Loyola College will be host to its first Fall Lacrosse Classic this weekend at Curley Field. In Saturday's semifinals, the Greyhounds will play Division III Nazareth at 1 p.m., and NCAA power Syracuse will play Navy at 3:30. On Sunday, the consolation game will be played at noon and the championship game at 3.

Syracuse won three straight NCAA titles in 1987-90 before being stopped by eventual champion North Carolina in last season's semifinals. The host school will be attempting to continue its recent string of fall successes, as the Greyhounds won the CHOICE/Visa Classic in both 1989 and '90.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for non-Loyola students.
