Terps' Thomas may miss game

October 07, 1991|By Mike Preston

University of Maryland starting senior cornerback Mike Thomas suffered a slightly pulled left hamstring in Saturday's 24-20 loss to Pittsburgh and is questionable for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

If Thomas can't play, the Terps might be without both starting cornerbacks. Scott Rosen, the team's other senior starting cornerback, has missed three straight games because of a hamstring he pulled in the preseason.

Rosen played in the season opener, but has been out since then with a hematoma above the hamstring and an aneurysm below it. Rosen is expected to be seen by team doctor Stan Lavine today.
