Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Southern District -- Police reported four people standing in the 4200 block of Thayer Court in Brooklyn shortly before 9 a.m. yesterday were shot by someone firing a shotgun from a passing car. Police said the victims, three men and a woman, all were hit by buckshot and taken to area hospitals for treatment. None was seriously injured. Police said they had no motive for the drive-by shooting and identified the victims as Cecil A. Sherrod, 17, of the 2400 block of E. Lafayette Ave.; Kathy N. Adamson, 22, of the 100 block of N. Monastery Ave.; Elliot J. White, 18, of the 2100 block of Hollins St.; and Vernon Harper, 16, of the 600 block of Mosher St. Police are seeking a white Oldsmobile Cutlass occupied by two men in connection with the shooting, but no arrests have been made.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Andrew Surine, 25, of the 3000 block of Abell Ave., reported he was riding his bike in the 3200 block of Greenmount Ave. last night when he was assaulted by two men who knocked him off the bike and stole it. Police said the bike was valued at $100 and Surine was not injured.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported Sherry Robinson, of the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle, was walking in the 4700 block of Greenspring Ave. last night when a Chevette occupied by two men pulled up to the curb and stopped. Robinson reported that a man armed with a handgun got out of the car and demanded her money. Police said the gunman robbed Robinson of cash and property, all valued at $100, before getting back into the car, which sped away.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of N. Howard St. reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend by breaking a rear window and stole a camera, lamp and radio. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Margaret Bruder, 21, a student at Loyola College, reported she was walking in the 5400 block of York Road yesterday morning when she was stopped by a man she knows who demanded her money. Police said Bruder gave cash and property, all valued at more than $60, to the man before he escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of Jin's deli in the 100 block of E. 25th St. reported that someone broke into the business over the weekend and stole several cartons of cigarettes. Police said the cigarettes were valued at $170. Entry was gained by breaking the front window with an unknown object.

THEFT: Northern District -- William Tarleton, of the 200 block of Stony Run Lane, reported that someone entered his property over the weekend and stole a 26-inch bike multi-speed bike. Police said the bike was valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that an eldery resident of the 200 block of Blenheim Road was walking in the 6300 block of York Road yesterday when she was approached from behind by two men who stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the men escaped with $5 in cash, at least one credit card and other personal items.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Druid Park Lake Drive told police that someone broke into her apartment over the weekend by forcing a door open and stole property of unknown value.

THEFT: Northern District -- Ann Finkerbeiner, of the 4200 block of Tuscany Court, reported someone entered her property over the weekend and stole a deck chair valued at $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Kristal Rabin, of Delaware, told police that while her car was parked in the 2900 block of Barclay St. yesterday, someone broke into it and stole several pieces of clothing. Rabin told police the clothing was valued at $200.

THEFT: Northern District -- Lynette Singleton, of the 1600 block of Brookhill Terrace in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, reported that while she was putting gas in her car at a service station in the 5600 block of York Road last night, a man reached into the window and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Alice Wilson, of the 1700 block of Eutaw Place, reported she was standing at a bus stop in the 300 block of McMechen St. when she was assaulted by a man who stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the man fled with cash and property, all valued at about $170.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Police reported that Paula Hardy, of the 3800 block of Penhurst Ave., was walking in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. when a man approached her from behind and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $300, and that the man escaped on foot.
