Girl, 12, reported missing

Police were looking last night for a 12-year-old Northwest Baltimore girl last seen walking toward Cross Country Elementary School at 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

After Danielle Nicole Rice failed to show up at the school, teachers there called her mother, Cynthia Cox, of the 3300 block of Avondale Avenue, who told them Danielle was probably playing hooky.

But after determining that none of Danielle's friends had seen her, Mrs. Cox telephoned police at 5:30 p.m. on Friday to report the child missing.

Anyone with information about her was asked to call police at 396-2466.
