Jodi Rehmert, a senior at Seton-Keough High School, has been recognized by the Maryland Higher Education Commission Distinguished Scholar Program for her artistic talent. She received an annual $3,000 scholarship to any college or university in Maryland.

Geri Gentile, secretary to the acting commissioner of health, was named Baltimore City Health Department Employee of the Month for September.

Theldon Myers, professor of music at Towson State University and a resident of Idlewylde, has been awarded a 1991-'92 American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers Award.

Michael E. Lijewski, an American literature major at Harford Community College, has been named the winner of the United Daughters of the Confederacy Scholarship, which is offered to children of Confederate ancestry. Mr. Lijewski is active in Civil War re-enactment groups and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

The Public Defender's Office has awarded Michael Braudes, Esq., assistant professor of law at Villa Julie College, the Alan H. Murrell Award for Outstanding Commitment and Service.
