$50,000 Bond Set For Woman

October 03, 1991|By Staff report

The daughter-in-law of a Circuit Court judge was ordered held on $50,000 bond after she was charged with attempting to kill her husband.

Renee Thieme, 35, Judge Raymond Thieme's daughter-in-law, was being held yesterday at the county detention center. She is charged with shooting her husband, Mark Thieme, during a domestic dispute last month.

Renee Thieme fled to relatives in Pennsylvania after the shooting, she told Judge Martha Rasin. Renee Thieme waived extradition last week.

"I would like to make bail so I could continue with therapy,"she said.

Renee Thieme told the judge she had been undergoing therapy in Pennsylvania for a drinking problem.

Rasin agreed to set bail for her on the condition that she stay away from Mark Thieme, their Pasadena home and alcohol. She was also ordered to check in with pre-trial release and not leave the state.
