Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 200 block of N. Culver St. reported that someone broke into his home Monday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. and stole property valued at more than $1,100.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Lander Boone, of the 5000 block of Dickey Hill Road, reported he was in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road when he was accosted by two men, one with a handgun, who forced him to give up his money and personal items. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with cash and property of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported a couple walking in the first block of N. Athol Ave. late Monday night was robbed when they were stopped by two men, one with a handgun. Police said Tory Walker, of the 2300 block of Terra Firma Road, and Sarah Rogers, of the 600 block of N. Carrollton Ave., were forced to give up their money to the gunman and his accomplice. Police said the two men escaped with $50.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Employees of Structural Systems Inc. in the 2100 block of Monumental Ave. reported that someone entered a construction site in the 800 block of Hilton Parkway Monday morning and stole equipment valued at more than $1,500.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 5400 block of Jamestowne Court reported that someone broke into her apartment through a window and stole her TV, valued at nearly $400.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a deliveryman for Pizz-A-Boli's in the 5200 block of Edmondson Ave. was about to deliver a food order to the occupants of a house in the 500 block of Coventry Road early yesterday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the gunman escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Police said James Barner Jr., of the 2600 block of W. Fairmount Ave., was listed today in guarded condition at Bon Secours Hospital after being shot during an incident in the first block of S. Calverton Road around 1 a.m. yesterday. Police said the man who shot Barner escaped and was being sought.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Tyrone Walters, of the 500 block of Thornfield Road, reported that someone entered the back yard of his home yesterday and stole a bike valued at nearly $300.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Ashford Graken, of the 3200 block of Belmont Ave., told police that during an incident near his home yesterday afternoon he was attacked by a man who struck him with a baseball bat. Later, police arrested a suspect in the case and were holding him at the station pending charges of aggravated assault and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that James Brown, of the 1800 block of Penrose Ave., was in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. yesterday afternoon when he was assaulted by an unarmed man who robbed him of more than $150.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Rose Darren, of the 4400 block of Old Court Road, reported she was in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. Tuesday when she was stopped by a man with a handgun who pressed the weapon against her head and demanded her money. Police said the gunman robbed Darren of an undisclosed sum of cash and escaped.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Phyllis Jaslow, of the 2600 block of N. Calvert St., told police she was in the 2600 block of Hunter St. Tuesday afternoon when she was accosted by a man who kept one hand in his jacket pocket as though armed. Jaslow told police the man demanded her property and escaped with jewelry valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 800 block of W. University Parkway reported that someone broke into her garage between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1 and stole a 26-inch mountain bike worth more than $300.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Bernee Thomas, of the 2700 block of Hugo Ave., reported that someone entered her home yesterday and stole a VCR from her bedroom. Thomas told police the property was valued at $300 and that she suspects a man she knows.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Erdman Ave. reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and stole several pieces of jewelry, two cameras, a VCR, compact disc tape player, an answering machine and a telephone. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,900 and that entry was gained by breaking out a pane of glass in the front door.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $500 was stolen from a dwelling in the 4900 block of Loch Raven Blvd. after someone entered by breaking a basement window. Police said the intruder escaped with cash, coins and checks.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Pauline Brooks, of the 1200 block of Gleneagle Road, reported that someone stole her pay check and cashed it after forging her name. Brooks told police the check was made out for nearly $500.
