Collectors soon will have another Memorial Stadium keepsake.

The Oriole Advocates are selling cacheted covers depicting Memorial Stadium that will be canceled with a special postmark for the stadium's final baseball weekend. The envelopes feature a drawing of the stadium by Baltimore artist Martin J. Barry. With three envelope styles and three postmarks available, collectors have a choice of souvenirs.

The drawing is in black and white on the No. 6 ($2) and No. 10 ($3) envelopes and in color on the No. 10 ($5). Collectors can specify an Oct. 4, 5 or 6 postmark. All envelopes are available without postmarks for 50 cents fewer each.

The special postmarks incorporate the "Season to Remember" logo. The Oct. 6 postmark contains the words "last home game."

The Oriole Advocates will be selling these covers by mail for a $2 handling fee per order (Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 2295, Baltimore, Md., 21203-2295) and in the Eastern High parking lot and Section 13-14 lower concourse inside the stadium this weekend from two hours before each game until one hour after the game ends. Ticket booth gates W5 and E3 also will be staffed on Sunday and the other days if the Orioles don't need them. The U.S. Postal Service also will be canceling stamped items at these locations.

Proceeds from the sale of the cacheted covers will go toward a scholarship fund the Oriole Advocates are establishing.
