Coast Guard Seaman Michael B. Cahill, son of Barbara Smith of Churchville, graduated from Coast Guard Recruit Training, Cape May, N.J.

During the course, students are taught general military subjects designed to prepare them for further academic and on-the-job training leading toward qualification in one of the Coast Guard's 26 occupational fields.

HOOPER IS AIR CONTROLLER

Navy Airman Recruit David S. Hooper, son of Ronnie C. and ShirleyM. Hooper of Street, recently graduated from Air Traffic Controller School.

During the course at the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Naval Air Station Memphis, Millington, Tenn., students receive basic control tower and radar control training. His studies included aviation weather, flight data, ground and local control, basic radar, radio communications, navigation aids, flight planning, aeronautical charts and publications. They also received the technical training necessary to receive Federal Aviation Administration certification.

The 1987 graduate of North Harford High School joined the Navy in December 1990.

COX LEARNS REFRIGERATION

Marine Pvt. Brian G. Cox, son of Carroll L. and Harriett L. Cox of Jarrettsville, recently completed the Basic Refrigeration Mechanic Course.

During the course at the Marine Corps Engineer School, Camp Lejeune, N.C., students are trained to install, operate, maintain and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment systems and accessory materials. The course alsoincludes mathematics and electrical theory.

The 1987 graduate of North Harford High School joined the Marine Corps in January 1991.

REMINES FINISHES BASIC

Pvt. Dennis K. Remines has completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

During the training, students received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, first aid, and Army historyand traditions.

He is the son of Nancy M. Gallion of Havre de Grace.

The soldier is a 1984 graduate of Aberdeen High School.

CAMPBELL ARRIVES IN N.M.

Air Force Airman Michael S. Campbell, a tactical aircraft maintenance helper, has arrived for duty at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.

Campbell is the son of Robert S. Campbell of Bel Airand Lora Moffett of Aberdeen.

The airman is a 1989 graduate of Bel Air High School.
