Annapolis Man Charged In Drug Case

An Annapolis man was charged with possession of cocaine after officers stopped him on Route 450 earlly Friday morning.

County police said they received information from Annapolis police that a man driving a blue Honda CRX had a large amount of cocaine with him.

Police officers stopped the car on Route 450 near Oak court and searched it.They reported finding several large rocks of crack, with an estimated street value of $12,000 and $2,000 in cash.

Kevin M. Makel, 23, of the 1100 block of Eastport Terrace, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.


A 21-year-old Annapolis man was listed in serious condition Friday at University Hospital Shock Trauma Center in Balltimore after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.

Police said RobertGilman England, 21, of the 2000 block of Generals Highway, was crossing Jennifer Road on his bicycle when he was hit by a van heading north on Jennifer Road.

No charges have been filed.
