Here's what to look for if you're traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

Route 32 from Route 175-Route 3. Major traffic pattern shift scheduled for tomorrow.

Warren Road at Route 45 is closed for approximately 30 days. Motorists should follow detour signs.

Bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. For more information, call 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Temporary reroutings

No. 20 (Edmondson Village Service) -- Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, construction work on Edmondson Avenue has necessitated the following temporary route. Westbound via regular route on Old Frederick Avenue to Athol Avenue, north on Athol, west on Edmondson, south on Swann Avenue to the temporary layover. Eastbound from layover point on Swann, south on Swann, east on Old Frederick to Athol, then via regular route.

Polish-American Parade

The Polish-American Parade from noon to 4 p.m. today necessitates the following temporary routes.

No. 7 -- Eastbound via regular route on Pratt Street to Caroline Street, south on Caroline, east on Fleet Street, south on Essex Street to Patterson Park Avenue, then via regular route. Westbound via regular route northbound on Essex to Patterson Park Avenue, west on Essex, west on Fleet, north on Caroline, west on Lombard Street, then via regular route.

No. 10 -- Eastbound via regular route on Pratt to Caroline, south on Caroline, east on Fleet, north on Haven Street, east on Eastern Avenue, then via regular route. Westbound via regular route on Eastern to Haven, south on Haven, west on Fleet, north on Caroline, west on Lombard, then via regular route.

No. 13 (Fells Point Branch) -- Eastbound via regular route southbound on Wolfe Street -- layover point is at Pratt Street. When westbound, south on Wolfe, east on Gough Street, north on Washington Street, then via regular route.

No. 61

Effective until 6 p.m. today, construction work on Calvert Street between 33rd and 34th streets necessitates the following temporary route change. Northbound via regular route on Calvert to 33rd, west on 33rd, north on Charles, west on University Parkway, then via regular route. No change southbound.

No. 21 -- Next Saturday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., a street fair will close Gilmor Street between Presstman and Baker streets. Eastbound via regular route to westbound on Westwood Avenue to Calhoun Street, west on Westwood, south on Mount Street, east on Laurens Street, south on Gilmor, then via regular route. Westbound via regular route northbound on Gilmor to Laurens, west on Laurens, north on Mount, east on Westwood, south on Calhoun, east on Cumberland to the layover.

Continuing diversions

No. 5 -- Freedomway has been made one way southbound because of construction. Southbound via regular route eastbound on Federal Street to Erdman Avenue, north on Erdman, east on Sinclair Lane to Clareway, then via regular route. No change northbound.

No. 4 -- Until further notice, the line will not operate into Eastpoint Mall because of construction.

Nos. 10 and 23 -- Until 8 p.m. today, Eastern Avenue between Clinton and Grundy streets, and Conkling Street between Bank and Fleet streets will be closed because of the Highlandtown Merchants Fair.

No. 10 -- Southbound via regular route to eastbound on Eastern at East, south on East, east on Fleet, north on Haven Street, east on Eastern, then via regular route. Northbound via regular route to westbound on Eastern at Haven, south on Haven Street, west on Fleet, north on East, west on Eastern, then via regular route.

No. 23 -- Eastbound via regular route to southbound on Grundy at Gough, east on Gough, south on Haven, east on Eastern, then via regular route.
