Magic signs Branch, Morrison

September 28, 1991

Former collegiate scoring stars Adrian Branch of the University of Maryland and Mike Morrison of Loyola College were among five free agents signed by the Orlando Magic yesterday. All will report to training camp next week.

Branch, 27, a 6-foot-7 forward, was a second-round draft choice of the Chicago Bulls in 1985, and was a member of five other NBA teams in a four-year career before being waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves in December 1989.

Morrison, 24, a 6-4 guard, was chosen in the second round of the 1889 draft by the Phoenix Suns and spent one season there, averaging four minutes in 36 games.
